What you won't hear are restricted FM oldies playlists or random computer-generated playlists .
BigOldiesChicago.com takes a diverse assortment of songs and makes them flow together in a way that makes sense harmonically, rhythmically, and lyrically — an art that, to us, is the very essence of radio. Here's the problem with most oldies stations today. They're are very tightly formatted and controlled by music consultants who decide which oldies you do or don't get to hear. You generally don't get to hear anything pre-Beatles, anything too dated, anything too black or any novelty songs. You get to hear only what they think you should hear. The DJ's can't even pick the order the songs are played. We think that's wrong.
In fact, most FM oldies stations play somewhere between 400 and 500 oldies, over and over, and OVER again. At BigOldiesChicago.com we play over 5000 oldies, from the 60's and 70's, so there's always songs that you haven't heard for awhile along with your all time favorites.
